Casual Cool Mod Clothing
A fantastic mod, sixties influenced outfit: Prince of Wales trousers, striped retro jumper, Italian leather loafers and finished with a paisley scarf. Inspired by sixties bands, such as the Small Faces and The Who. Who are often photographed wearing, lets say, more casual, yet very cool attire - infact, the jumper is styled on a piece worn by the living legend, Pete Townsend.
The Trousers and Shoes...
The trousers, by Get Up Clothing (a recent brand addition at Dapper) are superb! Straight leg fit, in a light, understated Prince of Wales check featuring frogmouth pockets with jetted pockets at the back. Fantastically light and comfortable to wear, and for me personally, my favourite style of trousers (they look great and go with all sorts of shoes and most knitwear).
The shoes are simply beautiful, they are by Lacuzzo. A very retro looking pair of men's loafers, in a soft Italian leather with exceptional perforation detail. The contrast tan band that runs the length of the upper really sets these shoes off - very Small Faces.
The Jumper and Scarf...
The jumper, again is just (in my opinion) brilliant! Looks so simple; a classic crew neck in fine soft cotton knit in a cool blue, with block stripe across the body. Nothing much to it, but oozes casual cool, as you would expect from Art Gallery Clothing.
Now, I like a scarf with a crew neck jumper, and this paisley scarf from Tootal Vintage is just right. Beautifully soft silk, rich in colour with vivid large paisley pattern, completing the overall look...dapper.
